The Memory of Water is a work that connects an ancient technique, encaustic, with an emerging technology, augmented reality. It allows you to explore the memory of water around Tiohtià:ke (the island of Montreal). The work reveals how waterways – rivers, lakes, swamps and streams – remember the ephemeral presence of canoes, at a time when people traveled in complete harmony with the territory.
